Grailville Retreat & Program Center in Loveland, Ohio, is excited to partner with ArtsWave  and The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company to bring to life an outdoor production of the classic Shakespeare tale, A Midsummer Night’s Dream  on Saturday, May 10^th from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will journey to Grailville to perform a highly original and innovative, and OUTDOOR remake of the classic Shakespeare tale a Midsummer Night’s Dream. The story of Midsummer’s Night is really two stories in one. The first is the one of couples in love and the twists and turns true love has to take in order to find happiness with another. Shakespeare in this story was explaining that through his characters with the quote, “the course of true love never did run smooth”. The second story is that of the magical kingdom and the King and Queen of the fairies at war with each over a changeling child and how he is to be raised. Their conflict spills over to cause interesting happens and enchantments with the young couples, as well as group of actor’s trying to perform a play in celebration of the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta.

The entire cast of Midsummer Night’s Dream is highly creative and talented, and their talents will only be enhanced by the natural beauty that is Grailville. With 315 acres of woodlands, pastures and organic gardens, this is the ideal setting for this magical tale. This will be an outdoor performance.  Blankets, lawn chairs and picnic lunches are welcome!
